4x4 Adventure In Punta Ninfas

The adventure kicks off at around 9:00 am, with a pickup from your hotel in a 4 x 4 Land Rover. The excursion covers approximately 80 km, taking us to a remote southeastern point of the city, marking the entrance to the Gulf of Nuevo. Here, we'll discover the legendary Punta Ninfas Lighthouse, a beacon for sailors and the landmark that gives the area its name.

Following this, our journey continues with a few more kilometers to the Gulf of Nuevo's mouth. This locale is encircled by dramatic cliffs, offering breathtaking panoramic vistas, unspoiled beaches, and unique sandy shores. To reach the beach, we must descend the cliff, requiring assistance from our experienced guide-driver.

As we make our way down, ropes are available to ease the descent. These pristine beaches are home to a stable colony of southern elephant seals, visible year-round, allowing us the opportunity to walk nearby while respecting their habitat.

Since this area does not fall within a reserve or protected park, it represents a delicate and exposed ecosystem, making it crucial to maintain respectful distances and a low voice volume to minimize disturbance.

Depending on the season, we might also witness Southern Right Whales and Orcas passing through.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., we will commence our return journey, ensuring a drop-off at your hotel in the city center.
